A PIL filed in the Gujarat High Court has sought a judicial probe into allotment of land by the government allegedly at concessional rate near Gir sanctuary which it said has benefited a private firm linked to Anar Patel, daughter of Chief Minister Anandiben Patel.
Chief Justice R Subhash Reddy and Justice Anant Dave heard the PIL filed by one Rajak Baloch of 'RTI Activists Sangathan' yesterday and posted the next hearing in March after Government Pleader Manisha Lavkumar sought time to file a reply.
According to the petitioner, the 9,94,824 sq meters of land near the sanctuary in Amreli district was sold to Wildwoods Resorts and Realties Pvt Ltd for a paltry sum, resulting in the loss to the state exchequer.

The petitioner has named the company, the state chief secretary, officials in departments of Revenue, Tourism and Forest as the respondents in the PIL.
Anar had already dismissed the allegations against her.
