The Allahabad High Court today directed the state government to file its response by November 17 on a PIL seeking direction to portray emblem of "Veervar Laxmanji" inside and outside the pandal and other prominent places of 'Lucknow Mahotsav' to be held from November 25 here.
Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza and Justice R R Awasthi of the Lucknow bench of the high court gave this order on a PIL filed by Hindu Front For Justice, a group of local lawyers.
It was alleged in the PIL that the state government is violating the duty cast upon it by Article 51-A(f) of the Constitution as "Hindu tradition, culture and religious places are being totally overlooked and discarded intentionally in the Mahotsav".
