A 50-year-old pilgrim today died on his way to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said.
Jagdish Chand, a resident of Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain, was heading for the shrine to pay obeisance when he collapsed at Bhawan belt in Katra, the base camp of the shrine, they said.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said, adding that the body will be handed over to his family after completing legal formalities.
