Pilgrims throng Kurukshetra on 'Somavati Amavasya'

The pilgrims thronged the holy place to pay obeisance to the departed nears and dears by offering them 'Pind-Dan' (offering of food) and 'Jal Tarpan' (offering of water) on the banks of Falgu Teerath and Sannihit Sarovar.

A special dip in the holy waters at Falgu Teerath in Faral village, followed by Pind-Dan and Jal Tarpan is performed to pay obeisance to the departed souls.

Since yesterday, pilgrims made beeline to the holy city of Kurukshetra reaching here by trains.
