Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot today accused the BJP of ignoring the plight of parents and students who are facing fee hike in private schools and demanded clear guidelines from the Centre.
Pilot said that private schools are raising fee by 25-30 per cent which is unexpected but the government was not taking any action and ignoring the concern of parents. He also condemned the CBSE paper leak.
Centre should issue guideline to control fee hike in private schools. It is the duty of the government to not allow commercialisation of education, Pilot said in a statement here.
He said that the state government is quiet on the issue of fees hike which shows silent nod of the government to private schools to raise fees.
Not only hiking fees, private schools are even taking advance fees for 3-6 months. There is a fee regulation act and district and divisional level committees in the state but those committees formed by the government proved to be ineffective, he said.
He also condemned paper leak, saying the government should fix accountability of the CBSE.
