Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Sachin Pilot today criticised the abrupt hike in prices of dairy products by 25 per cent saying it will put an extra burden on the common man.

"It appears that the BJP government in the state wants to deprive the common man of dairy products like milk, butter, chacha, shrikhand paneer by raising prices by 25 percent," Pilot said in a statement here.

He said cattle breeders, milk sellers and dairy operators were not getting sufficient margin or commission on the products they sell to Jaipur dairy run by Cooperative department and added that on the other hand consumers were lashed with the new rate by Jaipur Saras Dairy last night.

He said the BJP had lost control over inflation and was making things difficult for public by raising prices of electricity, roadways, and recent hike in petro fuels, Pilot said, adding, it would put extra burden on house budget.
