Pilot project launched in Mathura

Ahead of Janmashtami festivities, the district administration of Mathura has launched a pilot project which will include various steps to ensure sanitation and traffic management in the city.

"It would be a pilot project which will start from the Holigate area of the city and will cover all the historical venues here," District Magistrate(DM) NC Shukla said.

Shukla said that the focus of the project will be cleanliness, better traffic plan and parking facilities throughout the city.

The DM said that all the concerned organisations have been informed about the programme and their progress will be reviewed after a month.
 

Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, is thronged by large number of devotees specially during the festival of Janmashtami.
