The Punjab government has decided to run a pilot project through which ponds will be cleaned using a new windmill project, a state minister said today.
Rural development, panchayat, water supply and sanitation minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa said today that the state government was making sincere efforts to preserve and clean ponds.
As part of this drive, a Canada based company gave a detailed presentation on cleaning ponds through a natural process here today, Bajwa said according to an official statement.
Bajwa said that depending on the results of the pilot projects, a final decision would be taken on using this technique for cleaning ponds across the state.
