A pilot project under World Bank aided Integrated Child Development Services will be launched in four development blocks of as many districts in Uttarakhand to combat malnutrition among children.
The development blocks where the pilot project is being launched are Bajpur in Udhamsingh Nagar district, Bhagwanpur in Haridwar district, Narendranagar in Tehri district and Champavat in Champavat district, an official release quoting ICDS secretary Radha Raturi said here today.
Named "Project Parvarish", it is aimed at imparting technical knowledge to agencies connected with integrated health services and creating effective coordination among departments concerned, she said.
Health and nutrition scheme for each village of the selected development blocks will be prepared under the project, she said.
