The Children's Film Society of India's Hindi production 'Pinti Ka Sabun' was screened at the 23rd Kolkata International Film Festival today on the occasion of Children's day.

'Pinti Ka Sabun' revolves around a boy Lalit who wins a bar of luxury soap at the village fair which reminds him of Pinti, an army officer's daughter he used to play with.

"We chose 'Pinti Ka Sabun' to be shown on this day in KIFF 2017 as it is a beautiful film, a simple film and a children's film in every sense," CEO of the West Bengal Film Centre (Nandan) and Director of KIFF Yadav Mondal said.

Over 50 tiny tots were given toffees and balloons by Mondal before the screening of the film at Sisir Mancha, one of the theatres where the festival films are being screened.

The Kolkata International Film Festival was screening 142 movies from 65 countries in 19 categories in 12 locations between November 10 and 17.
