Continuing its efforts to curb piracy, police have seized DVDs worth Rs 2.52 crore, including latest Tamil films and pornographic content from a house in the city.
Special teams were formed to identify persons engaging in such crimes as per the orders of City Police Commissioner S George, a police release said.
Police raided a house at Periamedu and seized over 75,000 pirated CDs and DVDs containing latest Tamil films and pornographic material.
A case has been registered under the Copyright Act, 1957 and relevant sections of the IPC and special teams have been formed to arrest four persons who are absconding.
