Mahindra Health Care, a newly formed business under Mahindra Partners, on Wednesday announced the appointment of Pirojshaw Sarkari as its Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2019.
In his role, Sarkari will support the existing business in its growth trajectory and focus on building new partnerships. He will also look at opportunities to incubate new healthcare businesses within the company, Mahindra Partners said in a statement.
"With his strong track record and extensive leadership experience, we believe Mr Sarkari will steer Mahindra Health Care on a successful growth path," Mahindra Partners President Zhooben Bhiwandiwala said.
Mahindra Partners has been focusing on investing in healthcare sector over the past couple of years. This journey began with investments in Medwell Ventures Pvt Ltd and now recently through Centre for Sight, he added.
Sarkari joins from Mahindra Logistics Limited where he was instrumental in growing the company into a position of industry leadership, the statement said.
Prior to joining Mahindra Group, Sarkari was the Managing Director and Country Head for United Parcel Service (UPS) India, it added.
