Pistachio prices edged up by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today following increased buying by retailers and stockists, triggered by ongoing wedding season.
Furthermore, fall in supplies from overseas markets also supported the pistachio prices.
Prices of pistachio hairati and peshwari rose Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,385-1,435 and Rs 1,455-1,530 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased offtake by retailers and stockists amid fall in supplies from overseas markets, mainly pushed up pistachio prices at the dry fruit market here.
