Pistachio prices strengthened by Rs 10 per kg at the wholesale dry fruits market today due to increased demand from retailers.

However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said besides increased demand from retailers, paucity of stocks following restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly kept pistachio prices remain up.

In the national capital, Pistachio Irani, Hairati and Peshwari were added another Rs 10 each to Rs 1,230-1,280, Rs 1,320-1,370 and Rs 1,495-1,570 per kg respectively.
