Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Kumar Waii today said there was a plan to install CCTV cameras in the city to ensure safety and security of the people.

The cameras will be monitored by a city surveillance centre, Wali told a function after inaugurating a police assistance booth in the Rama Krishna Mission Hospital here.

The minister appealed to the people to cooperate with the police to maintain the law and order in the state.

The parents and guardians of a section of the unemployed youth who resort to extortion should shoulder responsibility to discipline them instead of blaming the police, he said.
