"During probe (of communal tension) in various districts, it has been found that they were a part of planned conspiracy to defame the government," Principal Secretary Home R M Srivastava told reporters here.
"Several persons have been detained in connection with the riots and those responsible for the violence would be brought to book," Srivastava said.
On being asked about the recent incidents of communal tension at Faizabad and other districts, he said the state government was committed to maintain law and order and those trying to vitiate the communal harmony would not be spared.
