A petition was today moved in the Delhi High Court seeking the whereabouts of a minor Pakistani girl who suffered severe injuries in an accident, which also resulted in her mother's death, while travelling to Srinagar from Delhi.

The habeus corpus petition, filed by the girl's aunt, was mentioned before a bench of justices Badar Durrez Ahmed and Siddharth Mridul which said it would be listed for hearing tomorrow.

The plea was mentioned by advocate Jhum Jhum Sarkar who has said the girl was hospitalised in a Srinagar hospital till July 17-18, after which no details are available about her whereabouts.

The girl's aunt, Shazia Naz, who arrived in Delhi on August 1, does not have visa to travel to Srinagar, Sarkar said adding that the lady had last received information about her niece on July 17.

Sarkar also said that the four-year-old girl and her mother had entered India through Wagah border on June 13, 2014, on a business visa.

They had met with the accident on June 14, she said.

Some unidentified persons had, thereafter, informed the girl's family in Lahore about the accident and also assured that she would be brought to Delhi, Sarkar said.
