PLFI operative surrenders

An activist of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) today surrendered and received Rs 50,000 under the Jharkhand government's surrender policy, the police said.

"Janeswar Gop has surrendered and has been given Rs 50,000 as per the surrender policy," Superintendent of Police Anis Gupta told reporters here.

Gop, who will also get other benefits under the policy, faces at least nine cases in Khunti district and was close to PLFI supremo Dinesh Gop, Gupta said.
