Security personnel today recovered 21 mobile phones which were mostly snatched from villagers, following the arrest of two People's Liberation Front of India ultras from Saundik village of naxal-affected West Singhbhum district.
Superintendent of Police Michael Raj S said the two ultras snatched mobile phones of villagers whenever they saw someone talking on them as they suspected that villagers were informing the police about their activities in the area.
Addressing a press conference here, Raj said CRPF and District Armed Police personnel launched a search operation in the area after they recovered 200 meters of wire laid underground two days ago.

In course of the search operation, security personnel found two can-bombs of 25 kg each in village Phatachadai and defused them on Wednesday.
The search operation which continued today led the police to arrest the two PLFI ultras.
