A 30-year-old woman was allegedly
raped by a plumber at Nangal village here, police said today.
The victim lodged a complaint with police that Jatinder Singh (33), a resident of Dalam Nangal village raped her on the intervening night of April 13-14 and threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed about the incident to anyone, an official said.
She was alone when Singh had barged into her home and committed the crime, the victim said in her complaint.
The accused is absconding, police said, adding that the victim's husband works abroad.
