PM arrives in Visakhapatnam to survey cyclone-hit areas

Modi, who arrived in a special IAF aircraft, is slated to hold a review meeting with Naidu, other leaders and officials

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Visakhapatnam to undertake an aerial survey of the cyclone-affected areas of Andhra Pradesh coast and review the situation.

Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, BJP MP from Visakhapatnam K Haribabu and state ministers welcomed Modi at the airport, which itself was damaged by the storm.

The Prime Minister saw the damage caused to the airport by Cyclone Hudhud on Sunday.
