AITUC National President Ramendra Kumar today criticised the Centre on the proposed amendment to labour law.

The growth and progress of a Country should begin from the grass root and common man, but Modi was considering that the country's growth was linked in the growth of with big corporates, Ramendra Kumar told reporters here.

The growth of corporates is not country's growth' he said.

Refuting the Modi's recent remarks while in Coimbatore that Communists were opposing the amendments to labour law, he said the Prime Minister was favouring corporates.

Modi was proposing to remove the right to union and also various welfare schemes enacted for the benefits of workers, he said adding that if these were removed there will be no rights and protection to workers and also there is no social security.

"The ugly face of BJP has come to the fore in the recent incidents in both University or Hyderabad and JNU. BJP is implementing the RSS agenda".
