Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand and inquired about several issues including progress made by the state in crime and criminal tracking network and system (CCTNS) and road construction.
Chief Secretary Rakesh Sharma told the Prime Minster through video conferencing that the state government has given three hectares of land on lease at Asena near Tehri for quarrying while.
He also told that the hill state is preparing to give 4.7 hectares of land for construction of a dumping yard at Chopra by September 31 for disposal of waste discharged by a pump storage plant in the village.

The Prime Minister also asked the chief secretary to explore other utilities of the location where the dumping yard is to be developed, it said.
Modi took stock of progress made by the states on 17 subjects including crime and criminal tracking network and system (CCTNS), road construction, putting up mobile towers and laying of rail tracks, the release said.
