Prime Minister Narendra Modi should raise boundary and stapled visa issues with China during his three-day visit to Beijing, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Padi Richo said today.
"His visit as per media reports seems to be crucial... But one thing he should not forget to discuss with the Chinese premier is the issue of Arunachal Pradesh and the persistent claim of China over this Indian territory," Richo said in a statement.
Requesting the Prime Minister to include Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju among others in his delegation, he said, "The NDA government should not forget about the conspicuous absence of Rijiju from the delegation- level talks during Chinese President's visit to India on September 18 last year."
"One year has completed. Modi is still keeping mum with the stapled visa issue that has barred many Arunachalees to visit China. Modi should not forget to raise the issue on his upcoming tour to Beijing," he said.
