Prime Minister Manmohan Singh returned home today after concluding his five-day two-nation tour of Russia and China.

In the first leg of the tour, Singh was in Moscow where he held Summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the meeting, the two leaders pledged to "resolve all outstanding issues" related to the Kudankulam nuclear project and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various other areas like defence, energy, trade and investment.

From Moscow, he went to Beijing on Tuesday.

During his three-day stay in Beijing, he held talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang and two sides inked nine agreements, including a pact to defuse recurring border stand-offs.

He also met President Xi Jinping, who hosted a banquet dinner for Singh, signifying the importance attached to the Indian leader's visit.

The Prime Minister addressed future leaders of China at the Communist Party's Central Party School this morning and was hosted a lunch by former Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao before his departure.
