Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally here affected vehicular traffic on all major routes connecting different parts of the city.
Nearly 5,700 buses were pressed into service to bring beneficiaries of schemes of the Centre and state government to Jaipur.
The traffic moved at snail's pace, especially between 1 pm to 4 pm on JLN Marg that leads to Jaipur International Airport.
However, airport director J S Balhara said he did not receive any major complaints related to traffic.
The buses coming from different districts affected vehicular traffic on Sikar Road,Ajmer Road, Tonk Road, Kalwar Road and Delhi Road, police said
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Lovely Katiyar said the time slot of 1pmto 4 pm was crucial for the city's traffic movement.
"We made elaborate traffic arrangements for today, but there was heavy traffic on many stretches near the venue like Rambagh Circle to Naryan Singh Circle, from Prithvi Raj road to Sehkar Marg and then to Polo Circle," she said.
