Congress today asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sack Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti for her controversial remarks, saying it is a "shame" that such people are there in the Cabinet of the government.
"No civilised person will use the language which was used by the Sadhvi. She is a Union Minister and I do not think anyone can use a more uncivilised language than that in the Indian democracy. She has apologised, but her apology is not enough. The Prime Minister should sack her," senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad told reporters here.
The Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha said, "This is not the first time that a BJP leader has indulged in loose talk. Their another leader (Giriraj Singh) had said before elections that those not voting for BJP will be sent to Pakistan. He was awarded and made a minister."
