Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Assam for sending him to Rajya Sabha for the fifth consecutive time.
In a telephonic talk with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, he expressed gratitude and indebtedness to the people of Assam for their unstinted support to him, official sources said.
Singh said he would work relentlessly towards addressing the key issues of the state in the coming days.
He also thanked the Chief Minister for his support and cooperation.
