Over 110 Ambassadors and High Commissioners from across the world will gather in the national capital to discuss how diplomacy can be used for country's development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a four-day Heads of Mission conference this Saturday.
The conference will see participation from the nearly 117 High Commissioners and Ambassadors from across the world.
Apart from longer duration, new initiatives will also be seen including presence of state Chief Ministers for better coordination between the Missions and the states, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said.
For the first time, we have also received inputs from outside the government, he said.
Under Modi government, a separate department was set up within the MEA to exclusively help the states in foreign investments and projects.
