In his maiden visit to Uttarakhand after assuming office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Rishikesh on September 11 to meet Swami Dayanand Giri who has been indisposed for some time.
The Prime Minister will spend some time with Swami Dayanand Giri at his ashram in Sheeshamjhadi area of Rishikesh on September 11 and leave for Chandigarh on the same day, official sources said here today.
Modi personally knows Swami Dayanand Giri and would pay him a visit as the latter is not keeping well for some time now, they said.
This would be Modi's first visit to Uttarakhand after assuming Prime Minister's office. He had last visited the state while campaigning for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
