With a view to take their fight to the political turf, an anti-nuclear movement spearheading protests against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant today announced it would hold talks with Aam Aadmi Party in this regard.
About 200 community leaders from Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari met here and expressed their opinions, a release from People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE) said.
"Based on that, it was decided to move the protest against the nuclear plant to a political platform. It has been decided to discuss with AAP our conditions," it said.
Senior AAP leader Prashanth Bhushan had recently visited Idinthakarai and met PMANE head S P Udhayakumar.
