An assistant professor of Patna Medical College and Hospital has alleged that its principal had caused mental torture to her and lodged a complaint against him with the Bihar State Women Commission, which has asked him to appear before the panel on March 30.

"We are in receipt of a complaint lodged by an assistant professor at PMCH that she was subjected to mental torture by the principal in public view on March 12 while he was taking classes," Bihar State Women Commission (BSWC) Chairperson Anjum Ara told PTI today.

The panel has decided to examine the allegation and asked the principal to appear before it on March 30, she said.

"We will take action after examining the case," Ara said.

The principal was not immediately available for comments.
