PMK today accused the AIADMK government of being apathetic towards visually challenged graduates who have been holding protests for the past three days seeking fulfillment of their nine-point demands which include teaching jobs for 200 qualified students.

Stating that visually challenged students have been staging protests for the past five years seeking teaching jobs, PMK chief S Ramadoss alleged that the AIADMK government had not implemented the promises it made to them except holding a qualifying test.

For the third day today, protests were held by the Tamil Nadu Visually Challenged Students and Graduates Association urging government to fulfil their demands.

Jobs for 200 qualified post graduates, teaching positions in colleges for 100 students who had cleared the National and State Eligibility Tests are among the demands.

In a statement, he said the protesters belonged to the marginalised sections of society and appealed to the government to fulfil their demands and end the protests.
