PMK chief Ramadoss calls on 'Cho' Ramaswamy

: PMK chief Ramadoss today called on ailing Tamil weekly magazine Thuglak's Editor 'Cho' Ramaswamy, who has been hospitalised here and enquired about his health.

'Cho' Ramaswamy was admitted in a private hospital a few days ago here for respiratory related ailments.

Ramadoss called on him at the hospital and conveyed his wishes for his speedy recovery and enquired with doctors about the treatment he was being given.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had called on him yesterday at the hospital.

On August 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visted Chennai and had called on Cho at his residence.

Since January this year, Cho Ramaswamy has been in and out of hospital due to health issues.
 

A popular figure in Tamil Nadu, Ramaswamy was a noted comedian of yesteryears. A sharp political commentator, he is well known for his bold criticism in his Tamil magazine Thuglak.

He is also a former Rajya Sabha member.
