The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) is monitoring the medical treatment being given to Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, where he has been admitted since February 15, the Deputy Speaker of the state Assembly, Michael Lobo, said here today.
"The PMO is monitoring the treatment. He (Parrikar) is being given the best of the medical treatment and he is recovering," Lobo said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Parrikar at the hospital yesterday during his Mumbai visit.
Parrikar was admitted to the Mumbai hospital after an initial check-up in Goa as he complained of stomach pains. According to the doctors at the Lilavati Hospital, he is suffering from pancreatitis.
