Admission of 41 students pursuing MBBS course from Government Bundelkhand Medical College (BMC) has been cancelled by Medical Education Department as they allegedly adopted unfair means to clear the Pre-Medical Test.

Those whose admissions were cancelled yesterday included 18 students of 2009 batch and 23 of 2010 batch, official sources said today.

With this, the total number of students whose enrollment has been cancelled by the college authorities for clearing PMT conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) allegedly through unfair means has reached 71.

Earlier, admissions of 30 students from 2009 to 2013 batches were cancelled by the BMC authorities on the recommendation of Medical Education Department.

The photos of these candidates which they had affixed in the answer sheet of PMT exam did not match when they were subjected to physical verification, following which their admissions have been cancelled, sources said.

A case has also been registered against them at the Gopalganj police station in this regard, sources added.
