PoK refugees hold protest in Jammu

An organisation representing Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) refugees staged a protest at Mubarak Mandi here today demanding a comprehensive settlement plan from the government.

Hundreds of refugees from different areas raised slogans against government and asked for immediate approval of a rehabilitation package.

General Secretary of the organisation, Rashapl Singh said that despite repeated protests nothing has been done to meet the genuine demands of the refugees.

State government has submitted a a proposal for full and final settlement of PoK refugees but Union government has failed to address the issue, he said.
