Granite and engineered stone exporter Pokarna has inked a pact with Dutch firm Dekker Zevenhuizen to broden its consumer base in the Benelux market.

Pokarna, which reported Rs 170 crore in revenue last fiscal, sells its products in more than 50 countries.

"Under the co-operation agreement, Dekker Zevenhuizen will exclusively distribute Pokarna Engineered Stone's (PESL) quartz surfaces in the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) market," Pokarna said in a statement.

PESL is a subsidiary of the BSE-listed Pokarna Ltd.

The products will be co-branded as 'EQ by Quantra', it added.

The alliance is expected to help PESL strengthen and widen its connect with the Benelux region, the statement said.

Established in 1930, family-run firm Dekker Zevenhuizen makes kitchen worktops and accessories in the Netherlands.

Commenting on the development, Pokarna Chairman G C Jain said strong customer base and reach of Dekker and his firms' expertise in Quartz surface would be a win-win for both the firms.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 651 apiece, up 4.08 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
