Police allegedly manhandled a woman when she refused to agree with them in a case involving a property dispute, sources said today.
According to the villagers of Longpur in the Sidhpura police station area, Pushpa was subjected to the rough treatment on Monday when she rejected their view of affairs in a property dispute involving her father.
Local police allegedly dragged the girl to the van and shut her up inside the vehicle.
She was only allowed to go after her fellow villagers expressed resentment at the police high-handedness.
The villagers yesterday submitted a memorandum to the Etah SP in connection with the matter and demanded action against the policemen involved in the incident.
