A 36-year-old man who made anonymous calls to the Chennai Port twice, on August 25 and 27 and threatened that a bomb would explode at the airport, was arrested by the police here today.

Police said they traced the call to a coin box phone of a petty shop near the Government Transport Corporation depot here.

One A Abdul Kareem of P Kondhagai village near here was caught red handed while making anonymous calls by the police personnel in plain clothes who were keeping a vigil at the shop.
