Police today arrested seven members of a criminal gang mostly operating in the National Highway in Ganjam district.
Two crude bombs, two swords and a motorcycle were seized from them, said inspector in charge, Chhatrapur Dillip Kumar Tripathy.
Police arrested them while they were allegedly planning to commit a dacoity in national highway, he said.
The arrested persons were identified as Kalia Panigrahi, Bhiki Sethi, Ananda Sethi of Berhampur, Lulu Patnaik of Polasara, Gourahari Swain and Kalia Swain of Ramapalli and Mohan Das of Kumarbeg palli.
Several criminal cases were pending against each of them, police said.
