With the arrest of two persons, police today claimed to have solved a murder case at Maradi village in Odisha's Ganjam district.
Sanatana Gouda and Damburu Gouda of the same village under Badagada police station jurisdiction were arrested for allegedly beheading Sanatana Nayak, 43, on the outskirt of the village June 21, police said.
The beheaded body of the deceased was recovered by the police on July 23 after some local people informed them.
Land dispute was stated to be the cause of the murder, said inspector in charge (IIC) of Badagada police station, Jibananand Jena.
