Police arrest wanted criminal, his aide in Ghaziabad

A sharp shooter carrying Rs 15,000 reward on his head has been arrested along with his aide for allegedly robbing two Faridabad-based traders on Delhi-Meerut, police said today.

The two accused had robbed two Faridabad based traders off their car and three mobile phones on Monday night, they said.

The accused have been identified as Ruchin, who is a notorious sharp shooter and his aide, Ajay Rana, police said.

SHO Modinagar Deepak Sharma said that during massive search operations launched by putting barricades on the roads police nabbed Ruchin and Ajay near Hanuman puri Sai temple and recovered looted Santro car and another Alto car, 9 mobile phones, two pistols of .32 and .315 caliber, seven live and three used cartridges, three fake ID cards, two driving licenses from their possession.
 

Police teams from Chandigarh, Noida and Muzaffarnagar also arrived to interrogate the duo.

During interrogation, Ruchin confessed of killing Datyana village head Karan on 26th September 2013, police said.

He also confessed looting gold ornaments worth Rs 20 crore from a Tanishq showroom in Chandigarh in the year 2011, police added.

Both of them have been sent to jail, SHO added.
