A naxalite was arrested from Bihar's Rohtas district for demanding levy from the manager of a construction company engaged in road construction, a senior police officer said today.
Superintendent of Police Manavjeet Singh Dhillon said the naxalite belonging to the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) was arrested from Saraiya village yesterday night.
The arrested naxalite was part of the squad of 30 naxalites who had reached at the office of a company engaged in the construction of Tilauthu-Dehri national highway and had demanded levy from its manager on January 21, Dhillon said.

During the interrogation, the arrested naxalite has "admitted" his involvement in the incident and has also revealed names of his accomplices who were part of the squad which demanded levy from the manager of the company, SP said.
The company had lodged a written complaint with the police about the incident after which an SIT was formed in this regard.
