Police arrests three persons in double murder case

Three persons have been arrested in connection with the double murder of two brothers one of whom was a guard of United Christian Senior Secondary School close to Lt Governor's residence Raj Niwas, police said today.

The case has been solved with the arrest of three hardcore drug addicts Dawood, Anda and Chandrapal who were arrested last night. We are also looking for the arrest of absconding gang members Pawan and Vinod who were involved in the brutal murder and loot at the school, said a senior police officer.

The victims Sunil, 40, and his brother Anil, 25, were found brutally murdered in the school premises close to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung's residence on July 15. Sunil was a security guard at the school for a decade.
 

The brothers were murdered with their hand and feet tied with rods and some sharp edged weapons. Locks of the school were broken and Rs 24,000 were found stolen from the principal's office.

All the five were reported to be hard core drug addicts and were involved in petty crimes for money to buy drugs, said the officer.

Pawan, their leader, was a thief of Majnu Ka Tila area and was believed to have planned the loot. Several teams have been formed to trace and arrest the remaining accused, he added.
