Three alleged sharpshooters of the dreaded Vikas Lagarpuria gang which extorts money from businessmen, cable operators, property dealers in the national capital have been arrested by Special Cell of Delhi Police.
According to police, the trio was wanted in many cases of extortion, attempt to murder, robbery etc., in Delhi and Haryana.
The accused identified as Kavit Rathi, Ravi Gulia alias Katia and Vikas Malik all in their 20s and residents of Haryana were arrested by the Special Cell following a tip-off.

"All three arrested persons belong to gang of notorious extortionist Vikas Lagarpuria gang. Vikas Lagarpuria indulges in extortion from businessmen, traders, cable operators, property dealers etc., in Delhi by threatening them.Lagarpuria is a notorious extortionist in Delhi and adjoining states," said DCP (Special Cell) Rajeev Ranjan.
After the recent arrest of two dreaded extortionists Neeraj Bawana and Rajesh alias Karambir by Special Cell, Vikas Lagarpuria nurtured ambition to be the number one criminal of Delhi.
He along with his associates Dheer Pal and Manoj Morkheri (both presently lodged in Central Jail, Tihar) planned to dominate the crime world of Delhi.
Lagarpuria along with his associates had recently demanded Rs 25 lakh from Sanjay Kumar, owner of Aggarwal Sweets in Najafgarh and threatened him on mobile phone a number of times.
When Kumar did not pay heed to their threats, infuriated by refusal, Lagarpuria got gun shots fired upon him while he was sitting in his shop. A case was registered in this regard at Chhawla Police Station in Delhi.
