In a joint action Loni and Sahibabad police arrested two notorious criminals and jeweller from Kirawal nagar area of North-East Delhi and seized stolen gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 20 lakh, two country made pistols and four live cartridges from them.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad, Deepak Kumar Singh said acting on a tip-of teams of both the police stations conducted raid at a place near Lal Bagh trisection of Kirawal nagar area of North East Delhi and arrested the three persons.
Singh said the arrested trio have been identified as Ashoo, Faraz (both robbers) and Chetan Sehgal, a Karol Bagh resident and goldsmith who used to buy stolen gold from the duo.
Around 18 cases of loot, theft and arms act are registered against Ashoo and Faraz in Ghaziabad.
