One Kumari alias Amiya Kumar Rout, 20, of Sarala Market near Mahatab Road under Plant Site police station was nabbed while possessing one country made double shot gun.
During interrogation, Rout admitted that he had purchased the gun from Jharkhand and was planning to sell it to Biswa Ranjan Mallick, the son of a police havildar.
Confirming the incident, Arun Swain, Inspector in Charge of Plant Site police station said "on specific information we arrested Amiya and he confessed that he had brought the gun from Jharkhand and was about to sell it to another person. Both Rout and Mallick have been booked under 25(1)a arms act.
