A team from the North Port Police Station, along with the disaster management team of the Kolkata Police, and two fire-tenders were rushed to the place after pedestrians and policemen spotted the youth climbing up the bridge at around 10 am, senior officer of Kolkata Police said.

"Our officers had a tough time convincing him and bringing him down. The identity of the youth is yet not known. He seems to be a vagabond roaming around the streets," he said.
