Police bust gang of robbers active in Delhi-NCR

Six armed robbers, wanted in several cases, were arrested today when they were allegedly planning to execute a robbery in Kavi Nagar area here.

Two country-made pistols, four knives, an auto, a stolen car and two looted mobile phones were recovered from their possession, police said.

The arrested robbers have been identified as Mateem, Kasim, Irfan, Dilshad, Nasumuddin and Ajaz, residents of Ghaziabad district and all aged between 25 and 30 years.

"We got information that some robbers were planning to execute a robbery in Kavi Nagar area late last night. A police team was sent there and all accused were arrested. They were wanted in several robbery cases in Delhi-NCR," a senior police officer said.
 

"Police are interrogating them about their other accomplices to get some leads about their hideouts," the officer added.
